Each kit comes with all the materials you need, plus instructions and sharpening tips for future information (knife blade has been sharpened and is ready for use now). The blade's cutting edge is covered for protection during assembly. The covering should not be removed until the knife is completely finished and ready to be put in its hand-crafted top grain 6-8 oz. leather belt sheath.

Flat Gind Blades:
This model is also available in a flat grind. The image below of the #1 Original shows the difference in the blade grinds. The bottom one is the Flat Grind model.
