What is a reseller package?

A reseller package, above all, permits you to run a small hosting company by reselling the disk space and associated services (domain support, e-mail support, etc.) provided to you by a larger company - typically one that has their own back-end network and server farm, like LFC Hosting - to small businesses under your own company name. Many website developers, for example, are also resellers, allowing them to earn a profit by hosting the websites they have designed without having to invest in their own back-end network and server software and hire staff to administer the network, maintain security, etc. Many companies also wish to earn a profit by simply hosting the websites in their town, or the websites of their business associates.

3. As a reseller, you must still point your clients' domain names to the host's network, which typically means pointing them to the host's nameservers (ours are NS1.LOOSEFOOT.COM, NS2.LOOSEFOOT.COM). However, if the client ever does a WHOIS lookup on their domain, they will see that it is actually hosted by another company in the background. LFC offers aliased name servers, meaning that you will point your clients' domains to NS1.YOURNAME.COM and NS2.YOURNAME.COM instead.
