LFC Hosting takes the industry standard database backup to another level through our OOOPS! Self-administered Backup Administration in your LFC Control Panel. Through your account control panel, you are able to view your database backups for every day over the past two weeks and download or restore backups, on-the-fly!
Many competing services do not perform daily backups of your databases unless you pay extra for the service, and even if they do offer daily backups, they don't provide you with a means to restore data and manage backups yourself. But what if you only wanted your database restored to the state in was in ten minutes ago before an update gone wrong? You have to wait and hope they get it right.
With LFC Hosting, there is no waiting - we take a daily snapshot of your database so that you can restore it to any day over the last 14 days - simply find the version you wish to restore or download, click a button and you're back in business!
We are also the only web hosting service to offer a "Backup Now" feature (especially useful for database developers) to alleviate the risk associated with database and scripting updates. For example, assume that you have a major update that does not go as planned, and you need to get back up and running. Simply press the "Backup Now" button in your LFC Control Panel to pro-actively take a snapshot prior to the update. You can then easily restore to the "Last Known Good" version and comfortably correct the update without downtime!
