Finally with our Reseller plan, we offer 4,500 MB of space, well above competing packages at similar price-points. Resellers are able to subdivide this space among their own clients, hosting many websites, and making a 100% profit (LFC does not charge a commission on resold accounts) on the sale of these hosting accounts.
Why do I need more than 1,000 MB (1 GB) of disk space?
While some websites still comfortably fit in under 50 MB of space, there are many reasons why you may need more disk space.
Firstly, if your website contains many images, or you want to provide rich media (audio or video) content, your needs could rise dramatically. The average graphic utilizes between 20 KB and 200 KB (0.2 MB) of space alone. If your website has many different graphics, it will require substantially more space.
You may have also noticed web sites that contain message forums, or "blogs". These forums generate web pages much faster, and therefore require much more space.
Also, if you provide software, PDF documents, or other products for your visitors to download, these can easily occupy several MB of disk space and could easily begin to cramp your style if you don't have enough. Online databases, or other software (such as Perl, PHP, ASP, .NET 3.5, ColdFusion MX 7, and JSP applications and scripts), can eat up your space at an even higher rate.

It is also important to note that the many other features of your account also occupy disk space, such as: e-mail, Perl, PHP, ASP, .NET 3.5, ColdFusion MX 7, and MS Visual Studio 2008 applications and scripts, e-commerce, website traffic analysis reports and raw logfiles, MySQL 5 and MS SQL Server 2008 databases and transaction logs, JSP scripts and servlets, mailing lists and mailing list archives, SSI pages, etc.
However, competing services, due to infrastructure barriers, typically limit the amount of disk space available to you for each of these features within your total space without advertising it, restricting how you can actually use the space that you are paying for!
